Mystic Waters provides friends, neighbors, and customers with a spa experience unlike any other.
Since our very first days open here in Saint Albans, Vermont, we’ve been serving people in need of rest, relaxation, and healing of the body and the soul. Our spa has flourished ever since, allowing us to grow steadily and become the center for health and wellness that we are today.
It’s truly been a dream.
We live to heal
We’ve come a long way. When the spa opened in 2007, we were grateful to help so many people manage their stress as the country struggled through the recession. Our customers were there for us, and vice-versa. We now have an amazing, dedicated, and passionate team who bring smiles, relaxation, and calm to so many people each and every week. They are so dedicated to improving the well-being of the people they serve.
It’s love, not just a paycheck.
Brandie Shilling is a professional massage therapist with over 20 years of experience. Her spa is her dream.
Danny Barratt has over 20 years of customer service experience and is passionate about helping others.
Brandie Shilling and Danny Barratt started it all. Brandie studied sports medicine in college where her soccer coach—a massage therapist—inspired her love for wellness and massage therapy. To Brandie, massage was how she could help people.
Brandie and Danny have known each other since high-school and became close friends in college. Danny was an arts and education major who worked for a number of years at Northwest Counseling and Support Services.
Brandie followed her passion, getting a degree in massage therapy and working hard at Smuggler’s Notch, a ski resort in Jeffersonville, Vermont, as well as her home-practice. It was here that Brandie fully realized her driving passion in life:
She wanted to open her very own spa before she was 30.
It would have to wait. The two moved to Arizona with their son, Brandie working at a nearby resort in Phoenix and Danny at an education center for behaviorally and Emotionally-challenged children. The love for their family and community in Vermont drove them to decide to move back to the Green Mountain State.
They were going to give Brandie’s dream a try.
Six months before Brandie’s 30th birthday Mystic Waters opened its doors. She was elated—it was a dream come true.
Welcome to Mystic Waters.
Our treasure, our passion, our dream.
